Through exploration of the essence of place, The Heritage + Design Company translates these narratives into community-based projects. Whether these inititives are a labour of love for a single individual or an entire community, the projects are economic drivers that ultimately contribute to creating vibrant, sustainable communities as 'heritage hotspots'. Cultural heritage is the key to creating exciting places to live, work, and play in rural communities across Canada.

Main Purpose:

  • Provide strong design advice for rural heritage properties

  • Identify unique tangible and intangible cultural heritage assets

  • Translate the essence of place into community-based projects

The End Goal:

The Heritage + Design Company seeks to facilitate and participate in rural community revitalization through heritage projects rooted in the unique tangible and intangible characteristics of place.
